Steroids also known as Performance Enhancing Drugs are a type of subsistence that will make athletes have a very strong improvements in their game and their activity performance. Steroids are most commonly found in Major League Baseball and when a baseball player takes any kind of steroid they get a 80 game unpaid suspension, If a player gets caught a second time it's a 162 suspension, and if they get caught a third time its a permit band from Major League Baseball. The new steroid rules for major league baseball are good and more tough because taking any kind of steroids means as a player you think your above everyone else and you think you can get away with it but you can't. Also with these new rules maybe just maybe a player will think twice about taking steroids and will play clean. According to the article Major League Baseball got it right again, they also listen to the players when it comes to this matter they will take drastic measures into making baseball clean and will continue to enforce stricter and harder penalties. One current player said, "Major League Baseball does a great job of listing to us as players and they do a great job with enforcing the rules".
Any kind of Steroids should be permanently band from baseball because it is classified as cheating and cheating is wrong and you don't accomplish anything from cheating. Also besides cheating when you have taken or have been linked to steroids it will ruin your reputation and you will never be looked at the same again, meaning that if you are someone like Alex Rodriguez who everyone looked up to and was a hero and role model to many people and when he lied and told the truth and kept flip-flopping the lies and truth and when he finally confessed everyone thought he was a villain and most of if not everyone throughout baseball never looked at him again. When an athlete talks about there accomplishments and if they are linked to steroids and have used steroids they don't deserve to talk about everything they have accomplished because they cheated. According to the article Why steroids are bad and how it can affect an athlete, a ball player's life will always be under a microscope when they take steroids because if they are on a hot streak people will wounder is he juicing again he probably is how did he get away with it again? Talk radio host all around the world have always said, "Its hard to trust players when they have lied so much and then when they ultimately tell the truth it stings more because we defend those players and it feels like they just stabbed you in the back". In Ryan Braun's case he was accused of steroids but was clean and everyone was in his corner, but when the allegations came back he confessed and everyone hatted him and disliked him as a person.
Taking Steroids or having been linked to steroids will effect your case for the Hall of Fame. You have voters who believe people like Barry Bonds and Rodger Clements who have been on the ballot for years should be in the Hall of Fame because of what they accomplished even if it was while they were taking steroids, and then you have other voters who believe that both should not get in because they cheated and even though there was no drug testing back when both Bonds and Clements were playing they accomplished a lot and did so much for their teams and during the playoffs they should be allowed into the Hall of Fame. If Bonds and Clements should get in then guys like Alex Rodriguez and Ryan Braun of the Milwaukee Brewers who lied to everyone and fooled every reporter should get in because yes both have cheated there way to the top but both have put together a Hall of Fame career. If there ever comes a day where Steroid users are elected into the Hall of Fame everyone is going to have a debate if it was the right or wrong decision. You will have people that say the Hall of Fame is a museum and people go to see greatness regardless of what the player did and then you will have people say that it is unfair to the clean players and the players who played the right way and deserve to get in have to wait longer because the player in front of them didn't play clean but holds records or have broken records. According to the article Pros and Cons of steroid players getting into the Hall of Fame, its more cons then pros when it comes to letting someone who has been linked to steroids into the Hall of Fame because cheaters should not be allowed no matter what records they have broken or how many times they have helped there team win. Robert Murray who covers baseball said, "I will never vote for a player who took steroids because every year there is a clean player and a more worthy player on the ballot and I will always vote for those players".
Ball players who take steroids not only wanna get stronger and more athletic but they also wanna improve there game and performance. According to the article  Baseball and Steriods, other reasons ball players take steroids is if they get hit by a pitch it won't hurt as much and won't leave as such a mark. Also to prevent any kind of major injury and to stay as healthy as possible. One retired ball player made the augment that, "There are so many other ways to stay healthy and many ways to prevent getting hit players should be wearing more protective gear and they should be working hard to get stronger and practice to improve there performance".
Steriods have always been a problem in sports mostly in Major League Baseball and when a non-top prospect comes up and is hitting like there is no tomorrow he is going to get looked at as a cheater and that's not fair because he probably worked his tail off and is getting looked at in some people eyes as a cheater. As for as the Hall of Fame players who take or have taken steroids should not be allowed in because its cheating and cheating is wrong and its unfair to the clean players and the players who have worked hard since day one.

  1. Visually great! Nice background and easy to read font.
I think taking steroids is like cheating too. I agree with that. But they need to be careful when screening because some drugs in the system may look like steroids when they are not such as medication of ADHD.
